Pressurization System for Stairwells

Pressurization systems are designed to limit the spread of smoke by preventing it from entering protected areas, such as stairwells

Pressurized systems (pressure differential systems) create appropriate pressure gradients inside buildings to prevent smoke from spreading and reaching protected spaces or escape routes.

The primary objective of the FUMO VENT SPVS system is to ensure safe and smoke-free escape routes for people, as smoke rather than fire is the leading cause of death during a fire.

Componenti del sistema SPVS

  1. Air supply fan
  2. Smoke presence sensor
  3. Adjustable air supply nozzles
  4. Differential pressure switch
  5. Power Fire Mode panel
  6. SPVS control panel for fire safety valves (VVF)
  7. Overpressure damper

The only differential pressure system with superior availability and SIL2 reliability level.

The control system ensures that the desired pressure value is maintained within the stairwell.

Through the FIRE MODE SPVS control panel, pressure is constantly measured in real-time and compared with the set-point value.

The fan speed is then controlled by the panel to achieve precise air supply into the stairwell.

Excessively high pressures could make it difficult to open doors; the airspeed through an opening should be between 1 m/s and 2 m/s.

An air inlet point is required at least every three floors, for example, using diffusers and an air duct along the entire staircase.

An additional channel with an extractor for hot fumes (COND-S) can be installed if needed.
